Good Recipe for easy home made pasta sace??

Posted under Home gardening tips | No Comment

i have a few cans of diced tomatoes and an herb garden, so i think i want to make a pasta sauce, but ive never made one from scratch.. any suggestions for recipeis or any tips? HELP!?!

Take 4 cans of diced tomatoes (or less, depending on batch size) I like to pulverize them a little to help break them down but i usually use whole tomatoes. Anywho, chop some garlic and an onion. Take a big pan and saute the garlic and onion in olive oil, add a little redpepper flakes. when the onion turns translucent add the tomatoes. Do not burn the garlic!!! I always add a pinch of sugar and a dash of vinegar to bring out the flavors. Cook for as long as you can, the longer the better. SEason with salt and pepper, and add the herbs like basil and parsley at the last few minutes. It's a delicious simple recipe, it's excellent with chicken parmesean!

In addition to herbs and diced tomatoes, use some red pepper while seasoning the sauce, it adds a good kick.

Cook some garlic in olive oil. Then add tomatoes, salt, pepper, basil, oregano(optional) and crushed red pepper. Let it simmer for an hour or so. Smoosh the tomatoes if you don't like it chunky.

Ah the best sauce is homemade.
    ~fresh garlic
    ~onion
    ~tomato sauce, paste, etc
    ~Basil
    ~oregano
    ~sugar
    ~salt & pepper

Puta little olive oil in the bottom of a pan,. sautee the garlic, and onion. Add sauce, add about a 1/4 cup sugar to sweeten up the sauce. Add basil & oregano, salt & pepper to taste. Bring to a low boil. Simmer for hours…..the longer the better!

saute' chopped garlic & onions in olive oil. chop your herbs (make sure you use basil & oregano) & add.
add tomatoes. a little salt, pepper. (dont salt to taste, yet, as the mixture will thicken & become too salty)
cover. cover & simmer on lo-med heat for @ 1.5 hrs. uncover. leave it chunky or blend it if you like- add salt, sugar, & pepper to taste. yum.
